Class-action status given to trucking- firm suits

Class-action status given to trucking- firm suits: "All sides in several lawsuits against C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. have declared themselves happy with rulings issued Thursday by U.S. District Judge Joan Ericksen in St. Paul.

Ericksen certified class-action status for two groups of women employees charging sex discrimination in pay and promotions at the Eden Prairie trucking company. The groups -- 1,300 with pay complaints and 600 with promotions complaints -- could go to court as early as late summer, said plaintiffs' attorney Steven Sprenger."
